Third Annual Step Up LSM Funds Over $47,000 in Scholarships
Step Up LSM, the annual 24-hour scholarship drive held on April 10, was a resounding success—raising over $47,000 to support student scholarships for LSM 2025. Thanks to the generosity of over 150 alumni, parents, and friends, LSM is well-positioned to meet the financial needs of the over 70% of students seeking scholarship support.
Despite the geographic diversity of the LSM community, the energy and momentum of the day represented a shared passion for music and faith. A dedicated team of 15 alumni, staff, board members, and volunteers helped lead the charge, personally reaching out to over 1000 individuals and welcoming 25 new donors into the LSM family. Alumni support was especially strong, contributing nearly half of all gifts made during the campaign.
The outpouring of support during Step Up LSM ensures that all students—regardless of financial circumstance—can experience the full impact of the LSM program. It’s a powerful investment in the next generation of musicians, teachers, and faith-filled leaders.
Student Sarah shared what LSM means to her,
"LSM is truly my home, safe space, and garden for creativity. I have grown tremendously in my studies, learning discipline, confidence, humility, and most importantly, passion. At LSM, I feel capable of exploring new interests and ideas, encouraged not only by faculty but also by the loving community of students. Though it is a short four weeks, I have made some of my closest connections—truly, through the gift of music. LSM is proof that a community based on community is a community that will flourish."
