In Memory of Dr. Lorraine Brugh

The LSM community mourns the passing of Dr. Lorraine Brugh (1952-2025), a beloved faculty member and mentor.

Dr. Brugh served LSM as Chapel Choir Director and Organ Faculty in 2000 and 2001, returning as Organ Faculty in 2016. Her musical leadership and deep commitment to worship left a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues, both at LSM and among the several LSM alumni who studied with her at Valparaiso University. She also authored a three-year curriculum that has served as the basis for the study of Church Music at LSM for the past 15 seasons.

Services will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona, on February 22: current LSM worship faculty members Anne Krentz Organ and Chad Fothergill (who studied with Dr. Brugh at LSM 2000) will join other students and colleagues of Dr. Brugh in offering service music and leadership of assembly song.

We give thanks for her life and ministry. May her music, teaching, and spirit of generosity live on in all who were blessed to study with her.
