Alexis Cairy is a Texas based private voice teacher, coach, performer, chorister, and soloist. She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder and Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Voice Performance at the University of Texas at San Antonio. 

Ms. Cairy has performed with Minnesota Opera’s Project Opera; Music of Mozart, soloist, world premiering Memory Boy, The Nightingale, Nightingale, and Minnesota Opera Mainstage in Dvorak’s Rusalka. Additionally she has worked with Eklund Opera; Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Jake Heggie’s world premiere of It’s A Wonderful Life, Mrs. Johnson, Berlioz’s Beatrice et Benedict, and Humperdink’s Hänsel und Gretel, Mutter. The University of Texas at San Antonio Lyric Theater’s; Firetower, June, a new work. Choral and solo work include; Beethoven and Britten’s War Requiem with Boulder Symphony, choral masterworks at Carnegie Hall, Minnesota’s Schubert Club’s concert series presenting Mozart’s works, soloist, University of Texas at San Antonio Choral Series Dvorak’s Te Deum, soloist, Haydn’s Missa Brevis, soloist. Competitive awards include National Association of Teachers of Singing, grand winner, The Schubert Club of Minnesota Bruce P. Anderson Scholarship Competition, finalist & grand winner, The Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, encouragement award. 

Teaching experience includes The Musical Arts Center of San Antonio, Ensemble Music Schools, Northwestern University - St. Paul’s Academy of Music, and Lutheran Summer Music. 

Ms. Cairy is pleased to be back at Lutheran Summer Music for another summer and to continue to empower students in their artistic and musical journey.
